This event was jointly organized by the Publicity Department and the Student Affairs Department (Office) of the CPC LZPU Committee, the International Exchange Department (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office), and the LZPU Communist Youth League Committee. Qiu Fuming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC LZPU Committee and Vice President, attended the event, joining faculty, students of various ethnic groups, and international students from across the campus to celebrate the festival.

At the opening of the event, Vice President Qiu delivered a Mid-Autumn Festival address. He extended sincere holiday greetings and warm wishes to all Chinese and international students present. He expressed his hope that through making lanterns, savoring mooncakes, and experiencing Mid-Autumn customs, students would appreciate the beauty of Chinese family reunions and the charm of traditional culture amid joy and laughter. His warm and sincere words resonated deeply, conveying the university's genuine care and thoughtful support to everyone present.

Following the speech, faculty and students watched the cultural video "The Origins of the Mid-Autumn Festival" together to learn about the festival's historical roots and folk customs, gaining a deeper appreciation of traditional Chinese culture. Subsequently, a series of captivating cultural performances took the stage, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere. The Student Art Troupe presented the street dance Boom Bass, the songs Rain Love, Little Luck, and Want to See You, as well as the dance Longing. Their dynamic and passionate performances drew enthusiastic applause. Seamlessly blending Chinese and international cultures with the theme of ethnic unity, the event was packed with highlights. International students from Yemen and Indonesia at the School of International Education showcased traditional dances from their home countries, while Thai students gave an emotional rendition of the song Seasons Change, highlighting the vibrancy of cultural diversity; Sidike from the "Pomegranate Seed" Ethnic Unity Workstation performed Borrowing the Moon, expressing the harmony, mutual support, and solidarity shared among students of all ethnic groups.

The interactive game session was filled with laughter and excitement, featuring engaging games such as "Catching the Moon with Chopsticks," "Pass the Flower," and "30 Seconds of Marching in Place." Faculty and students participated enthusiastically and collaborated seamlessly, filling the hall with joy and laughter. The activities strengthened the bonds between teachers and students as well as among peers, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere of reunion. Following the performances and interactive games, faculty and students enjoyed sweet mooncakes together, embracing the unique charm of the Mid-Autumn Festival, and posed for a group photo to commemorate this wonderful moment of reunion. As the event drew to a close, students eagerly took part in traditional lantern-making and the festive garden fair, crafting vintage lanterns by hand and immersing themselves in traditional folk customs.

Integrating cultural heritage, artistic performances, cross-cultural exchange, ethnic unity, and engaging interactive games, the event enriched campus cultural life and conveyed the university's warmth and care. It also established a platform for multicultural exchange, fostering mutual understanding and integration among Chinese, international, and multi-ethnic students. Furthermore, it strengthened patriotism and a shared sense of cultural identity among faculty and students, laying a solid foundation for creating an inclusive, harmonious, and culturally vibrant campus atmosphere. Moving forward, Ingenuity Academy will continue to leverage traditional festivals to organize more heartwarming cultural events, ensuring that China's fine traditional culture thrives and is carried forward on campus.
